Verde Luz

The story

Verde Luz reflects Puerto Rico during the 1920s, before postcards and resorts reshaped the island’s image. Handcrafted from 160g rabbit fur felt, its olive-green gradient recalls the forests of the Cordillera Central and the morning mist settling over coffee farms, mountain roads, and wooden homes.

Braided fibers, tropical textiles, carved beads, and natural feathers appear gathered across generations, while the rooster feather honors the rhythms and resilience of el campo. Hand-stitched accents reference the tradition of mending rather than replacing, transforming each mark into a record of resourcefulness.

Named after the beloved patriotic hymn, Verde Luz is not a recreation of history, but a continuing conversation with it.
