The story
Montanera preserves the atmosphere of Puerto Rico’s mountain countryside during the 1940s, when coffee pickers traveled narrow trails through the Cordillera Central and horses and mules carried the harvest down winding roads. Handcrafted from 220g rabbit fur felt, its mustard-to-green gradient recalls coffee-covered mountains illuminated by the first light of morning, while a pale blue silk band evokes the Caribbean sky above the highlands.
Finished with a natural feather and braided cord, Montanera honors a life shaped by the land, quiet endurance, and the enduring craftsmanship of el campo.
