Begin your own storyThe story
Some creations begin when the original plan falls away.
Tribulations began as a change of direction. The original plan was a hat for an Oktoberfest event, but the event was cancelled and that hat was never made. The commission took another path, drawing inspiration from Perdition, an earlier creation by La Sombra.
That connection found a new expression in weathered brown and rust, with teal emerging across the crown and brim. Exposed stitches trace the crown. A frayed teal band and layered multicolored cords circle its base, giving the roughened surface warmth and texture.
The interrupted brim binding and notched edge carry the same language into the silhouette. A long barred feather brings movement above it. Inside, ΘΛΙΨΕΙΣ marks the sweatband, while further marks wait beneath the brim.
Together, these details give Tribulations its own character. The visible stitches suggest the work of holding together; the color leaves room for what comes next.
The occasion changed, and the work continued. From an earlier creation and an unexpected turn came a crown with a story of its own.
